Sugar Bowl scrapbook and ephemera
Contains a scrapbook of newspaper clippings documenting the 1940 Boston College football team with particular emphasis placed on the team's invitation to and participation in the 1941 Sugar Bowl. The collection also includes several of Nason's Sugar Bowl game charts, loose clippings and brochures. Most of the loose clippings relate to the 1942 football team. Many of the articles were written by Nason.

This collection contains correspondence, newspaper clippings, ephemera, photographs, and artifacts owned by or relating to John Lawrence Sullivan (1858-1918), the first American heavyweight champion boxer.

T. Jeffrey Sullivan collection of Tommy Sullivan and Joe Derrane
Papers containing audio recordings, news clippings, photographs, and sheet music that document the music of Tommy Sullivan, an Irish traditional musician from Springfield, Massachusetts. It also includes some sheet music, news clippings, and two recordings of accordionist Joe Derrane, who was a friend of the Sullivan family.
Collection is open for research. Audio recordings have been digitally copied; all original media were retained, but may not be played due to format. Digital use copies can only be accessed in the Burns Library Reading Room.
Charles Sumner papers
Consists of handwritten drafts of resolves and other items written by Sumner while serving in the United States Senate. Several items are written on scraps of paper and envelopes.

Alphonsus Sweeney collection of Seumas O'Kelly
The collection contains materials about Seumas O'Kelly, an Irish journalist and writer, collected by his nephew Alphonsus Sweeney. It includes Sweeney's correspondence regarding O'Kelly's life, as well as works by O'Kelly such as short stories and radio plays. It also has lectures and articles about O'Kelly.

John Thayer manuscript
Consists of one manuscript, "A Discourse Delivered, at the Roman Catholic Church in Boston, on the 9th of May, 1798, a Day Remembered by the President for Humiliation and Prayer throughout the United States" (1798) composed by Boston-born, Catholic convert, revolutionary, and priest, John Thayer.
Original manuscript closed pending conservation review; preservation copy in Shared box 1672 available for use.

Composed of newspaper clippings primarily related to the conflict between the Catholic Church and the American public school system in the late nineteenth-century, specifically in Boston, Massachusetts.

Town of Weymouth tax assessment notebooks
Three paper-bound notebooks, each including a list of residents and non-resident landowners for the Town of Weymouth with taxes owed for a particular assessment. Each notebook contains multiple assessments. Notebooks are from 1788, 1791, and 1793, and each include categories for polls, real estate, and personal taxes, calculated for each resident.

Manuscript fair copy of Nicolás Cisneros course on moral philosophy, addressing human acts and the nature of free will. The caption on the first page of text indicates the copy was prepared by the Jesuit novice Cristoforo Pesantes.

Tractatus de admirabili Eucharistiae sacramento : manuscript
Manuscript fair copy of an unpublished treatise on the Eucharist by Nicolás de Olea, written in a cursive humanistic script. The existence of this manuscript was known to J.T. Medina, who notes in the entry for Olea's Summa tripartita scholasticae philosophiae, "Se atribuyen a Olea un Tractatus de admirabili Eucharistiae Sacramenti, 1676, manuscrito en 4o., y otros que enumera Torres Saldamando."

Two hardcover notebooks documenting broadcasts and live performances of Michael J. Twomey's Boston-based band, originally called Twomey's Irish Pipers' Orchestra, later renamed Twomey's Irish Minstrels. Also included are a photograph of the orchestra, a program for The Irish Pipers' Band of Boston Second Annual Grand Costume Ball, and two newspaper clippings of articles concerning the band.
