Brendan Connolly coins and artifacts collection
Brendan Connolly, SJ was the Director of Libraries at Boston College from 1959-1974. The collection is composed of Connolly's collection of nine ancient coins, a necklace made up of two blue stones, and one trinket-sized ancient ram or goat figurine.

British royal family photograph album
Leather-bound photograph album of the British royal family during the reign of King Edward VII. Also includes photographs of royal castles, palaces and other properties. The photographs include handwritten descriptions of each item. An emblem combining King Edward VII's initials and the motto of the Order of the Garter (Honi soit qui mal y pense) is embossed on the front cover.

Brown County Ursuline Convent portrait album
Album containing 37 portrait photographs of students of the Convent of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and 1 portrait of Father Edward Purcell (1808-1881). Handwritten captions, dated 1867-1876, identify the subjects. Two pages, captioned "Chief Justice Taney" and "Margo Duer Henry," are lacking photographs.

Papers that document the professional and personal life of twentieth-century American politician and lawyer William M. Bulger in the Massachusetts legislature and as University of Massachusetts president. Papers document the religious career of twentieth-century Boston Catholic priest Robert W. Bullock. Florence and Ellen Burke letters
This collection contains letters between Florence Burke, a Union soldier during the American Civil War, and his wife Ellen. There is also a letter from Charles Brown and Joseph Bell Alexander to Ellen concerning the exhumation of her husband's body from the battlefield. Additionally, there are tintypes and a copy of a land purchase deed.

Patrick Cahill Collection of Belloc and Chesterton Materials
Papers pertain to writer Patrick Cahill's research and publication on Hilaire Belloc and G.K. Chesterton. It contains manuscripts and typescripts of Cahill's essays on Belloc and Chesterton; Cahill's research notes; correspondence; Distributist League Reports from 1927-1936; a sound recording of Hilaire Belloc, and a photocopy of Hilaire Belloc's will.

Thomas P. Cahill Papers
The papers contain manuscripts and publications of journalist and historian Thomas P. Cahill, as well as photographs, periodicals, newspaper clippings, correspondence and related items, mainly concerning Irish history and the role of James Cahill in the Manchester rescue of 1867. Also included is an account of the Boer War by P.A. Cronje.

Patrick Callanan scrapbook
The scrapbook includes newspaper clippings (mostly poetry), programs, brochures and other ephemera. It also includes a few passages written in Callanan's own hand. Much of the material relates to music, theater, religious and oratorical activities sponsored by Boston College.

Muise Family Collection of Cape Breton and Irish Music
This collection consists primarily of field recordings of Cape Breton and Irish traditional music performed by various musicians in the Boston area, as recorded on home recording equipment by Johnny and Mary Muise. Included are informal music gatherings and social events that took place in the Muise home in Dorchester (1951-1965) and Roslindale (1965 and later), as well as concerts and other gatherings. Some of the audio recordings also contain published material.
Collection is open for research. Open reel tapes and audiocassettes are restricted (boxes 2-6). All open reel tapes have been reformatted, and digital versions are available for use in the Burns Library Reading Room. All audiocassettes have not yet been reformatted, but can be upon request. Note that there may be a delay in availability of digitized versions.
Elizabeth Capell recipe book
Contains culinary recipes and recipes for medical remedies, in the handwriting of several different authors. The last page is a copy of "the Story of Bembo, a Primitive Christian," originally published in Oxford in 1689 by minister Richard Allestree.

Bound manuscript copy of a comedic poem, in fifteen cantos, satirizing religious orders, including the Franciscans, Dominicans, and Theatines. Attributed to the Jesuit priest Sebastiano Chiesa, about whom little is known. With numerous corrections and annotations. In Italian, writing in italic script in brown ink with green ink on the title page.

Sixteen-page manuscript fair copy of a letter from King Charles III of Spain to Pope Clement XIII on the expulsion of the Jesuits from the Spanish Empire. Dated at end of last page: Aranjuez, 2 de mayo de 1767. Written in ink on laid paper in a gathering of four bifolia.
