Memorandum book of the Boston Brass Band compiled by S. S. Pearce, listing performances, venues, names of musicians, and amounts paid in 1837. The Band played at venues in New England, including Faneuil Hall and Boston Common, and at parades, military musters, and funerals. The second part of the book records an Atlantic sea voyage taken in August 1838.

Boston Citizen Seminars event and planning records, addressing affordable housing, government financing, labor, poverty, public green spaces, public schools, technology, transportation, and the future of the city of Boston.

Administrative files, committee records, correspondence, and departmental records prior to 1968 are open except files containing personally identifiable information, financial records, or student records. This collection consists of photographs of alumni, both as individuals and at class and group events. There are also a small series of photographs of the Alumni Association. The collection includes photographs, proofs, contact sheets, negatives, slides, and cartes-de-visites.

A hand-lettered memorial list of Boston College alumni who died serving in the United States Armed Forces in World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

This collection documents the history of the American Jesuit university Boston College in the late-nineteenth and twentieth centuries through its material culture. The collection includes banners, flags, football memorabilia, groundbreaking shovels, medals, pins, plaques, seals, and signs from Boston College administrators, faculty, and, to a lesser degree, students.

The records of the Office of the Associate Academic Vice President document the office's involvement in committee activities between 1974-2005. Materials include agendas, committee reports, correspondence, handouts, meeting minutes and summaries, member lists, memos, notes, operations and procedures, reports, self-studies, and task force updates.

This collection includes programs, media guides, and occasional score sheets produced by Boston College for home events and tournaments for both men's and women's athletic teams and clubs. Some programs from away games of BC teams are also included. All-Sports Banquet, Hall of Fame Induction, and other gala materials are not included.

The records contain correspondence, lectures, ephemera, and photographs documenting the Boston College Candlemas Lecture Series and its participants. Notable correspondents include Daniel Berrigan, SJ; Walter J. Burghardt, SJ; Philip Caraman, SJ; Robert Coles; Gerard Ellard, SJ; Allen Tate; and Bishop John J. Wright.

Contains correspondence, surveys, clippings, and publications. The files from the 1940s include information on Boston College students enlisted in the military reserves and correspondence from the National Youth Administration. Later files primarily contain departmental reports and student surveys.

Collection of audio recordings of the 1992 Boston College Celtic Harp Festival, co-sponsored by the Boston College Music Department and Irish Studies Program. Recordings consist of a keynote lecture, panel discussion, and concert performances. Also included is Derek Bell's original manuscript and annotated sheet music for an Irish harp suite performed at the festival, as well as promotional ephemera.

Collection is open for research. The audio cassettes are not available for playback due to format impermanence and have not been reformatted. Please let Burns Library Public Services know of your specific interest; if possible, reformatting will be scheduled.

This collection documents the Irish perspective on the visit of American President John F. Kennedy to the Republic of Ireland in June of 1963 through Irish national security memoranda, a contemporary newspaper special issue, and publications from the 45th and 50th anniversary of the visit.

The collection also contains material on the curriculum including correspodence from Dean Charles M. Crowley, S.J. regarding business courses. It also includes files on programs affliated with the Evening College such as the Mater Christi Institute which taught young women childrearing skills.
